bogs when given gas

stock tpi, 383ci with 64cc tbi heads. new blaster 2 coil, ignition module, cap, rotor, spark plug wires, plugs and a 67gph fuel pump. after changing the fuel pump the bogging went away for the most part, but it still does it.

say ill take off from a dead stop and itll get up to about 10mph and then take off, or be in 2nd gear and itll go for a couple seconds and then kick in with like 100 more hp

could the stock fpr with almost 160k miles on it be a possible cause? when i got the car i was told it had 40lb injectors on it, which im not sure if i believe but im pretty positive they arent the stock ones. btw ive already checked all the sensors with a MODIS and they are all working properly.

anyone have a similar problem and find a fix?

Did you run a vacuum/psi test? What's it read at idle?

I had a problem like that. It turned out to be two things. Timming and the TPS.

Timming was off a few degrees. But when I changed the TPS the car would burn out again. Turns out there was a dead spot more or less in the TPS.

Street Lethal: the car runs @ about 36psi idle, and shoots up to a little over 42psi a WOT

BA92GTA: Timing is @ 6*, and the TPS is .58v closed (have it maxed out)... and i believe that it was something like 4.5-4.7v @ WOT

How is engine vacuum? Do you have a vac gauge?

Re: bogs when given gas

I agree with Street, get a gauge on it.

TPS...
Ummm.... the numbers you posted are very close to what I was getting.

I guess what I was trying to say is, you can get the correct number at closed and at WOT. However, there in between at half throttle or slightly there under, still be getting a closed throttle voltage.... Or it seems thats what mine was doing....

Good Luck.....

Re: bogs when given gas

BA92GTA, I once had the same problems, the scanner was reading the sensor correclty but it was still bad... I would look into that and my other problem was vaccuum leaks at the EGR valve, very small leak.

i checked all the sensors with a MODIS ($8000) and made sure they didnt have any crazy voltage spikes throughout the rpm range/throttle position
