The 305 pump is 24 gal/hr @ 50 psi. The 350 pump is 28 gal/hr @ 50 psi.

Yep, they do according to Fuel Injection Specialties. The Delco part # for the 305 pump is EP-241 and the 350 pump is EP-242.

damn, didn't know that either! is it the same for all years?

This is dumb to ask, but, if you go from 305 to 350, how important is it to get the 350 pump?

TPI 350 pump is the same as the TTA pump! Figured that one out when I replaced my pump, I asked for the TTA pump, ended up being the same damn thing! Pablo was there I think ... hehe ...

Many people successfully swap more powerful engines into 305 cars w/o a problem so it certainly can be done. I'd make sure ANY pump holds pressure during a full throttle run via a gauge or by monitoring oxygen sensor output.

If you're looking to upgrade, the Walbro 255 lph pump is a great choice. When my stock pump was dying I replaced it with a Delco EP-381 rated at 41 GPH (155 lph) @ 50 psi. I'm told this pump was used in the GMC Syclone/Typhoon but I don't know that for a fact. Cost $88 from Fuel Injection Specialties a few years ago.

Hey Mark I think your part #s may be off. I just went to my GM dealer here in Germany and there computers show that the 305 TPI and the 350 TPI having the same EP-241 pump (for a 92 at least). When I asked about a 91 L98 Corvette he gave me EP-245 part no. How much do these usually cost? My dealer told me $137.00.
I did replace my 305 with a 350 and Im replacing my fuel sender anyways, so Id like to replace the pump while Im at it.

Randy,

Don't waste your money on a stock pump. You can buy a Walbro 255ltr/hr pump that looks stock and fits in the stock location perfectly. This pump will support 550hp ... and its cheaper than a GM pump. Do a search on the internet.

Randy, the part #s I listed came from Fuel Injection Specialties (they sell both) and are the best info I have. I have no way of knowing what the service books for the different years x-reference as a substitute.

You are a wise man to replace the pump while the tank is down. My stock pump was slowly dying @ 65K miles. Do yourself a favor and get the Walbro pump like the guys recommend.

TRAXION,

I have a question for you...actually 2.

I have a stock 305 TBI and I'm going to be putting a TPI in and was wondering if I need to change the fuel pump at all? For right now I'm just going to put the TPI on the 305, but later it will be put on a built 350 and I know I need to change the pump then. I just wanted to make sure I could just hook up the fuel lines as is now with putting a TPI on the 305.

Plus, you are close to me (if you're in Frederick, MD) and I was wondering if there are any speed shops around? I'm closer to BWI airport, but still, I'm willing to travel for good prices on parts.

Thanks again...
