engine sputtering..running rich?

ON my way home from Ocean City,MD today I was cruising and i stepped on it in 5th gear. Well the RPMS did not move! It felt like they were being redlined or something. They rose very very slowly.

I recently made cold air induction, ported the plenum, and installed an AFPR. I'm running about 49psi at WOT. Why would the car sputter like that? Am I running rich? I can hear the sputtering in lower gears too..just not as drastic. Other people in the car have noticed it. Maybe my injectors are getting too much fuel?

thanks guys.

Try to lower your PSI a little ? That seems a little high...

49 psi on a pretty much stock 305 is overkill. i wouldnt of even got a afpr for a 305.

If you are running lean ,you are running lean! Regardless of displacement. Once i get my dash mounted digital air/fuel ratio moniter, and digital fuel pressure gauge I will be set to go.
