cam or 1.6:1 rockers for mild modded 350tpi

should I put a cam in my car? I already have the intake off for porting. Here are my mods and planned mods:

done: headers, exhaust cut-out
in works: intake porting, cold air, afpr
planned for later: torque converter, possibly nitrous

I don't understand cams all that well so if you all could just tell me some specific cams that would be good for me. My car is pretty much a weekend warrior, it sits in the garage most of the time..

go with the 1.6 roller rockers. With that your ported intake, a chip and your afpr You'll be in the 13's

No way, go with the cam. You can get an LT4 hot cam for like $190, thats what rockers will cost you and the cam will get you SO much more.

Yes the cam is the way to go, but if you dont know how to install it or if your pressed for time go with the 1.6. I know the LT4 works with higher rpm so make sure your intake can take it.

umm besides the 'porting' you have a stock engine, yes? stock heads, valves, and throttle body? if you feel a cam change is needed keep the duration under 214deg @ .050.
anymore that that itll waste. the lt4 hot cam is a fine cam, but $$$ will be needed to replace and prep heads and compression is needed. ohh and the tpi will work but the streetram or superram would be the better manifolds if your wanting the L-98 look. other than that miniram would be best. cam profile is 2500-6500rpm. on stock tpi 1500-5000rpm is more desirable.
