Am I expecting too much?
When I bought this car I thought it would just roast the tires from a standstill...it does not.
However, I am at 5000 DA ft. And when I look at the mods done---wouldn't the result be to lose some low end torque?
The power curve is moved into high rpm range--and thus take away some tire shreding abilities?
thoughts?

Re: Am I expecting too much?
That combination of parts should easily roast the tires. You need to check the basics like timing and fuel pressure to make sure you are getting everything out of it. I have a very similar combination with a bigger cam, bigger heads, and a superram I can easily roast my tires from a roll. My combination before the current one was TFS 195 heads, ZZ9 cam, 2400 stall, large tube runners and it could easily spin the tires.
Hopefully there is a minor tuning issue that is holding you back.

Just runners, K&N cone on factory tube and a muffler here 255's on the back and I can get them to break a little WITH OUT a break stand. But I think the trick is do a MINI break stand and they will just ROAST like crazy!!!

My mild L98 car in "D" from anywhere between
0-15mph will unleash the fury of hell with no brakes.
Just a foot and make sure your hands are on the wheel!
I was showing off to a babe one time, and I completely
let loose and the car basically 540'd. luckily all the smoke
hid my stupidity.. and walked away with my pride intact!
With the mods Ive done and compare them to
yours, you should be ripping asphalt from the ground!
TQ numbers should not deplete as your stating, especially
on a Tuned Port engine.. something else is wrong.
Your build should be well over 300ft/lbs TQ.
But, I have no voice on altitude.. Im at sea level

does the 2400 rpm stall I have---take away some tire spin off the line? (I mean with out touching the brakes and gas)

Haha I figured the altitiude would not affect it that much. You should be all set to have some fun. I would still suggest playing with the timing and fuel pressure to get the best power you can. Have fun with it.

Any track times yet? I think we are going to have to line up the 350s next month if you come to Cruise Weekend. I won't be stock either.
