Ok, I was told the hotcam is too big for a 350 with Edelbrock aluminum heads. For sure this thing is way too big for a 305. The ZZ9 might be a better choice for your engine, man

This type of cam would require you to change the valve springs. I would also suggest that you upgrade to roller rocker arms do to the extended rpm range of this cam. The rocker arms will not increase your hp but will give you more reliably from the valve-train. Also you are going to need a custom chip for the cam. If not the engine will run rough and would want to stall at idle. I run a similar cam in my 305 from comp cam and a love the power increase. Let me know if you would like more info on tuning issues

You're gonna need a lot of ***** to run a cam that big... Its designed for a high flowing 350 engine, not a TPI 305. Yes you'll need new springs for sure, at the very least.

I'd reccomend about 78 more cubes first. While many will say the LT4 hot cam is a good 350 TPI cam, and I know TK's car runs like a raped ape with it, I still think its a little too big for a 350. I look at it as a really nice 383 port injected NA cam though.

installing a hotcam in that motor will make less power than the stock cam. but the idle will be lopier. If you want a good cam , call up crane cams or comp cams and they will recommend a cam. Dont waste your time with "popular cams"

Remember the old adage in hot rodding, bigger is not always better. This applies to carbs, intake port cc of heads, headers and camshafts.

However, it IS better if the bigger is cubic inches. Concentrate on that part first!
