New cam/head combo do i need a new chip?

I am currently running a Hypertech chip in my car. This summer i will be going to a new top end setup. The bottom end will be stock still.
heres the new crap:
Dart Iron Eagle Heads, 180cc intake runners, 64cc combustion chambers

New cam: 278intake 286exhaust .450intake .420exhaust 108degrees of lobe seperation. 104degree intake centerline Gross Duration 312 Gross Exhaust 323

Harland Sharp 1.5:1 roller rocker arms
Manton Push Rods, stock length?

So the question is should i get a new ccustom chip burnt or is the hypertech i got good enough for now? Can the engine live with it and perform decently or will it run really bad? Need any more info? my buddy came up with that cam profile, hes used to dealing with higher HP crap but he tried a few different profiles. we got 375hp and 413ft/lbs. or torque on the desk top dyno. Thats about what im looking for seeing i still have a stock rear end and driveshaft. Thanks.

Kyle

I don't think you NEED a custom chip, but if you have the money, by all means get a new one!

That cam profile looks... weird...
Do you have the manufacturer and part number?
As it is, the 108LSA isnt going to do you any favors, but I need clarification on the rest.

108 LSA. I've heard that 108 is extreme for stock ECMs. 108 LSA will give you top end, but also will shake your teeth. Trust me on this one, I have 110 and it's pretty choppy, although it got much better with new 2100-2200 RPM converter. The chip is a Hypertech by the way, not much "tunning" there.

That isn't a roller cam is it?
If your modding you 88 TPI then, correct me if I'm wrong but, don't you need a roller cam and you should have a lobe seperation no lower than 112*?
I think you'll need a custom chip but I could be wrong.

Ive never seen such a wierd cam profile. Are you sure thats right?
ANyhow, my 88 TPI was originally a 305 and now a 350. It sports every mod from TFS heads to a custom grind cam. Dont go too crazy with centerline. Keep it around 112. Yours is way too strange for a TPI motor. And yes you need a hydro-roller. And no, you dont need a custom burn. Mine is still running off the 305 STOCK chip and running 12.4 in the quarter. I realize i MIGHT hit high 11's with a custom burn, i just want to learn as much as possible about it and do it myself. Do more reserch on the cam.. I wouldnt touch yours... Hope this helps..

ya that is a roller hydraulic, and ya it is lopey as hell. Its a custom grind, there are no manufacturer numbers or anything. We came up with that profile becuase it still provides good torque, but also wakes it up on top end where we all know that TPI's suffer. can anyone provide a cam profile that they think would still put out around 375hp and 420ft/lbs with the heads and everything? thanks for the help. im no good at cam selection, but my buddy is (at least he thinks so ) so he is the one who told me to run that cam.

To Run duration like that, and a LSA of 108*, Yes you need a custom chip. That Duration seems way to high for a TPI motor. Is this cam for a strip only car? You'll need a very high stall converter to put you in you powerband.

The car is a Street/Strip car that is run on the highway a lot. It has a 2,800 stall converter. Does anyone have a recommendation for a better cam to run?

The hot cam will put you in that range even with crappy heads. With fastburns and flattops you get 430 hp, although the TPI would chop some off the top.
