L98 block
i have a 89 iroc z with a tpi 350 its the l98 and i need new heads.what kind of heads can i use instead of stock? or is there a crate motor that will bolt wtih my intake manifold for the fuel injection?

pretty much any head designed for '87-up small block chevys and fits a 1204-1205 gasket size. cant use vortecs or any vortec style head with factory base tho
good cheap upgrade is the corvette Aluminum L98 head. need a vette manifold or drill your two center bolt holes on both sides in the current camaro manifold straight up to use corvette heads
ZZ4is probly the most popular crate motor that will bolt to TPI

yes, ZZ4's have modified L98 vette aluminum heads...basically setup to handle more lift of the ZZ4 cam which is a mild cam that does well in TPI stock motors. computer will handle it fine too without tuning but tuning will help gain more power

This weekend im getting a set of ZZ4 alumminum heads, brand new for $725.
they are the same casting as the L98 heads 10088113
