Whats the benifits of the ZZ4 cam on a stock TPI? Better over-all performance or more low-end torque/hp?

Is this the spring kit I need to get for the swap? Comes with everything and is pretty inexpensive. (in know, ge what you pay for) but thats the basic Idea of what i need for a ZZ4 cam swap in my stock TPI. I'm getting screw in studs to.

Re: what is the ZZ4 cam gains on stock 350 tpi?

It develops more mid-range TQ and top-end HP. However, you don't get ALL the potential top-end HP due to the TPI choking it. On an HSR, you will definitely notice more top-end (compared to the HSR with the stock cam).

However, unless the ZZ4 cam is basically free, it won't be a dramatic "upgrade". For a noticable change, you would need to go a few steps larger - especially if you plan to swap the intake shortly to something that breathes a little better, like the HSR. With just those two changes, you can get some decent gains.

And, if you ever swap your heads, then you might consider upgrading your cam again. It is quite common that as you "change parts", that you change to a cam that better matchs your new parts. Once yiou get to a "solid roller", then you can stop.
