Wierd timing problem, any ideas?
I have a 1987 IROC with the 305 engine that has a wierd problem, I set the base timing 6 degrees btdc with the computer advance wire disconnected, plug the wire back in and it drives fine.
When I restart, it backfires and splutters. Restart with advance wire disconnected and it runs smooth, plug back in with car running, runs fine. When I restart it backfires and splutters again, any ideas?
