Anyone dyno a ZZ4/TPI combo

I'm very curious what the curve looks like.
Thanks,
Chuck

Wow! - where did the 77 HP and 70 Ft Lbs of torque go?

GM puts this engine at 355 HP @5500 RPM, 405 Ft #'s of torque @ 3500 RPM. I am hoping that this is with a totally stock intake/plenum/runner setup, and a stock chip right?
Do TPI systems really lose that much power over a carb?

Sounds like a major tuning/chip problem.... I know people running 12's with the ZZ4 & a stock TPI base, ported plenum, with 24# injectors & a 58mm TB.

I believe he stated those numbers were from the rear wheels. The dyno numbers are consistant with TPI ZZ4 setups. Don't forget there is a %20 loss at the rear wheels.

Actualy dad, those arent the right numbers.

It was 280 HP and 380 TQ at the rear wheels. The ZZ4 is rated at 355 HP and 400 TQ at the engine, not at the wheels.

How does that output compare to a carb setup. I know the torque is down with a carb but I heard the HP compared to a stock TPI intake makes up for it and the two combos actually run virtually the same ET (TPI usually a little quicker) but with a 2-3mph trap speed difference favoring the carb?

I don't know about you all, but I would be disappointed with a 13.61@99 for a ZZ4. I'm sure it got faster after some bugs were worked out. I don't know about this combo running 12's either, but I would like to think it's possible.

Well, GMPP did 13.8 @ 99 in their ZZ4 swapped 87 Camaro, with the ZZ4 conversion kit. I did 13.25 @ 107 with TPI, but if I could drive better, and get a 60' under 2.0, it could have been 12's.
