383 TPI w/Edelbrock E-Tec 200's

Building a 4-bolt main 383 full roller engine (Cam, lifters, timing chain--already own these--thanks to all you guys who have sold me GREAT Parts!). Trying to decide if the following is do-able:

RPM Air-Gap (already own it) adapted for stock injectors and fuel rails. 52-60 lb injectors. 350 PROM (or custom PROM). STS Turbo. Methanol-Water injector. Edelbrock E-TEC 200 aluminum heads. 9.6:1 Hypereutectic Summit Pistons (Already Own)--May switch to Forged if necessary, and Gapless Turbo Rings. Turbo Cam (already own). Milodon Main Caps. Edelbrock TES Headers with Y-Pipe (Already Own). Hi-flow Cat. Dynomax Turbo Exhaust (2 1/2"--installed). Manley aluminum rods (for 800 HP). Mad Dog Godfather TH-400 (currently using their Gangster model, good to 450hp).

Looking for 14-22 pounds of boost. Anticiptating 550-750 HP. STREETABLE. [YES, I plan on strenthening the rear, subframe connectors, shock tower brace, and full roll cage]--mostly for the street, occasionally for the track, following the Pro-Touring direction.

My Questions.

1. Can Anyone recommend a reliable Throttle Body for the Air-Gap? I have been considering the Holley Commander 950 and the Mass-Flo EFI TBI?

2. The stock MAF on my 86 TA will only recognize up to ~400hp. What MAF do you know of that will recognize and function on forced induction up to 800 hp?

Has Anyone tried the stock fuel log to Air-Gap swap I am considering. Your advice would be tremendous!

Thanks,
John Thompson

i can help with the MAF.... i would look into a HIGH flow grannelli unit. flows about 40% more air than the stock unit. and has better electronics... as far as reconizing the power that will all be in your tune. tune the chip in the ECM for your setup and for the boost u will be running. thats how vortec.paxton etc do it for stock supercharger setups.

Well, just my opinion but I see 3 things wrong.

1) Everyone hates those tranny's, so I would plan on replacing that.
2) I don't think you'll be able to stuff 750hp through Edelbrock headers and y-pipe. I would consider a custom setup, or Dyno Don's.
3) I don't think aluminum rods and streetable go hand in hand. They have an amount of stretch built into them and are designed for a narrow heat range. Also, not sure why you would consider running a rod like that with a hypereutic piston.

MAF won't (inherently) recognize boost either. I would highly recommend going to some 3 bar speed density ECU (OEM style or aftermarket, depending on budget, skill, and luck!). Your '165 ECU on $32 code surely won't be happy with your plans.

I also agree with Mr. Fontaine's suggestions. The headers "may" be "OK" (since the back pressure will be about 45psi), but the 2.5" exhaust is pretty small for 800hp. I'm not a turbo expert yet though (but am interested and studying in my free time), and it may not matter very much being pre-turbo.

Have you read this yet?:

Other good turbo stuff on that site too, if you aren't a member yet. That's a long long thread, btw.
