TPI Vacuum Line Help

I have a 91 tbi that i converted over to 87 TPI. I checked the diagrams on thunderchevy or whatever site it is but they are not exactly the same. I wanted to know if this looks like the correct configurations. I have included a drawn pic (Sorry) and also some pics of the connection to give everyone a better idea what i am talking about. Please help and thanks in advanced.

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

from the drawings it looks like you have it correct, you could get away without the connection to the purge canister. Do your heater controls work?

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

No but they are great sources for vacuum! When i turn on the ac i would assume that the one running to the coolant valve would suck more then it does to divert the coolant but it stays the same?

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

It circulates the gas fumes from the tank into the engine.

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

Ive been working on the same thing. TBI to TPI.

I think you have it mostly correct. I have my vent, pvc, booster all kinda connected up backwards(different spots)... along with my purge.

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

I did the swap myself about 2 weeks ago on my wifes 92RS, I used the tbi to tpi repin thread. The car runs better and has a nice power increase as well

So that top line on the purge canister sucks gas fumes into the engine? So me hooking it up to the TB is good.

Also maybe you can tell me the answer to my other posts:

Re: TPI Vacuum Line Help

I posted on your top one there, others I dont know.

hopefully some others can chime in on mine and see if it should work the way I have it. I'm waiting on my ecm.

Brake booster to lower intake manifold, left side.
Valve cover vent tube is now a moroso open breather
PVC is to the right side of the TB.
EGR is now digital
AC doors, purge, FPSU, MAP, Cruise/vac bulb all have there own ports.
Extra hole on TB is capped off
coolent bypass hose has been melted in half. bypass valve removed.

Sound like it should work?
