CAR STALLING

I hane an 89 gta 350 and it stalls when it's in gear sitting at lights etc.I replaced all my maf relays checked tps and its set right and smooth. But i know the maf sensor needs to be replaced since a wire is broken. But since engine light is on and its in limp mode the car still shouldn't stall when its in gear. What do you guys think? And also when i'm driving not under serious load i can feel the car almost lurch or surge. The rpm's drop down a little just for like 1 second.Anysolutions?

Re: CAR STALLING

Not to sound rude but you answered your own question, You say you have a MAF problem and wondering why it is stalling? Fix the MAF problem and it should fix your stalling problem.

Re: CAR STALLING

I thought this to ,but since it is in limp mode doesn't the ecm just guess the air /fuel ratio. So this then shouldn't have anything to do with the stalling should it?I'm new to these cars but some of the posts i read have said the car will run better with the maf unplugged (mine now is since i got it diagnosed and seen the broken wire)and in these posts i haven't read anything about there cars stalling.
