Its a "performance package" from TPiS containing airfoil, AFPR, airfilter, sparkwires i think. Look at www.tpis.com for more info.

If you thinking of buying one, post it on the aftermarketboard first, you will get some opinions and then- think again!

Its a 34hp increase for your GTA! It icludes a foam air filter, airfoil, sparkplug wires and AFPR.TPIS is so far ahead of other companies like SLP which claim their runners, cold air, headers, catback, and chip only give about 26hp.Those poor saps back in the early 90's who ordered the SLP package for their F-bodys for $2300, could have just spent $200 on the TPIS, and even gained 8hp

Or maybe SLP is being more honest about their HP claims.

34 hp from the Fastpak,... ROFLPM

Now there would be a concept Glenn,... an aftermarket company making honest claims about the potential of the stuff they sell.

Well, I honestly think that SLP's claim on their power increase is underrated. All those mods on a stock 350 plus the free mods should be enough to put a 14.70 car well in the high 13s. I know it did on mine with parts of less quality (especially the headers)

Lets pretend It actually did give 34 horsepower why would you buy the parts at an inflated price, just so you could get it all in one box? or maybe it's the mystique of being in the "Fast Pack". What a load 34HP, plus who wants to deal with TPIS anyways?

The TPIS "Fast Pack" is.............drum roll please......................................................A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!!
Yes, you too can be one of the few, the proud, the ripped off!!

Just look closely at their add:

"34.5 average hp increase*"

*FOR BEST RESULTS: PURCHASE "INSIDER HINTS"

First of all, 'average hp increase' means on a race built 383 with ported heads on THEIR dyno. And the $20 "insider hints" book tells you everything that you can learn for free from this website in about a week.

34hp??? What in the hell are they smoking? I guess they also charge $65 for an airfoil (SLPs is $25) and about $90 for an AFPR (Cranes is about $60). 34hp. Hahahahahahah.

Matt nailed it. TPIS' claims are all based on a "prepared" 383 with everything done to it. Of course their Fastpack will have an effect as that engine seriously needs all the spark and air flow they can get.

There is nothing in the TPIS Fastpack that you cannot obtain from other sources for less than half the price.

On a stock L98, I suspect that their Fastpack would be lucky to give a 5-10 HP increase; and only if the engine was out of tune.

Bumping up fuel pressure is generally the wrong thing to do on a basically stock engine as the stock GM eprom is already too rich and you are just compounding the problem by giving a rich runnign motor even more fuel.

I'm glad I got the opinion of the board on this one!!! I was thinking of buying some stuff from them, like the AFPR, and LTR. That was before I read a lot of posts, and some articles here. Thanks guys, you saved me some money.

Also, the 34HP increase was on an engine dyno, NOT a chassis dyno. That is NOT rear wheel HP, it's flywheel HP.
