okay, lets help branz get a new cam...

Got some stuff to do to my car, so i figured, enh...i'll go ahead and replace the valve seals, ports the heads, etc.. Now...i would like a better cam, i love the way the LT4 cam lopes but...after i finally got my browser to search, i found alot of people see the HOT Cam at too much for a 350 or not well suited for a LTR setup. If i could get a similar cam that idles like the hotcam but is more suited for my application, that would be perfect... Like i said, i love the lope that the hotcam has (thanks to tom keliher's video) but very rarely would i even see 6000. I normally shift at 5500 or a little below. Help me out guys...

Try the SLP 218/224 cam. It has a lope sound and runs great. Great drivability and midrange. I wouldn't buy a cam just for the sound though! Match your set up.

I figured someone would say that, but i'm sure i could have the best of both worlds. And hopefully this cam will allow some room for me with headers, etc. I'm open for more suggestions too, like i said, i plan on porting my heads, maybe upping compression to 10.0 - 10.5, something like that, and doing some manifold work... I'd like that lope sound, but i also what some POW to the new cam.
