valvetrain question
I have a 88 IROC 350 with stock heads removed.I have a set of Dart Sportsman II heads with studs and guideplates.On the stock heads I have self aligning roller rockers.Can I use these on the Darts?Also what pushrods do I use?

First to answer your question about the pushrods!! You MUST used hardened (heat treated) push rods with guide plates! Always!!
To answer your other question, you CAN use the self aligning rockers but you don't NEED to use them!! Self-aligning rockers are used when the heads have been drilled for guide plates but no guide plates are used or in a roller engine with no guide plates!! The rockers must always have a way to align...either with self-aligning rockers or with guide plates!! So if you have guide plates then you don't NEED the SA rockers but it doesn't hurt to use them!
