TPI Bolts ?

I am doing the TPI swap in my Regal but I want to use all ARP fasteners to match what I have currently.

Does anyone know where to get a list of all the sizes of the bolts for the whole TPI top end ? I really don't want to buy one of those stainless kits just to measure them all to get the sizes.

Thanks

Re: TPI Bolts ?

Either Summit or Jegs sells an ARP TPI bolt kit (non-stainless). I purchased one last fall. Check out their websites.

Hope this helps!

Almost forgot... TPI Parts also sells nice bolt kits...

Re: TPI Bolts ?

The only kit ARP makes is for the intake manifold. I want to replace all the other ones as well.

Then use the TPI Parts kit. I've used both and like the TPI Parts one better... the heads on the ARP's tend to strip easy.

Plus the ARP kit is 34 bolts... i don't think it takes 34 bolts to attach an intake manifold.

Re: TPI Bolts ?

Do you have a part number for the ARP TPI kit you bought ?

I want the black 12 point ARP bolts, that is why I am looking for the bolt sizing of all the fasteners in the kit, I was hoping that someone had a list of what they are from a GM manual or something.

Thanks for the help.....

Re: TPI Bolts ?

you might want to try mocking up the manifold base to the heads with the ARP bolts. I noticed when I put my SLP runners onto my Edelbrock TPI base, the GM pan-head style torx bolts luckily provided enough clearance for me to wiggle the runners into location, it is a very tight clearance, and I'm not sure if that was the reason for the factory low-clearance round head bolt style choice instead of the traditional GM hex head bolts.

-All the bolts that hold the TPI together are metric, while manifold to engine bolts are 3/8 x 16 with torx t-45 head.
-Runner and upper plenum bolts are torx t-40.
-Throttle body are 10mm shoulder bolts.
-TPS bolts are torx t-20.

Re: TPI Bolts ?

I'm not trying to be difficult or an a**, but wouldn't it be easier & faster to just order the kit from TPI Parts?

My personal experience with ARP bolts is the heads strip easily. You are wanting bolts for the TOP END... not exactly load-bearing stuff.

Re: TPI Bolts ?

Hard to explain but I am very **** about the details and I want the ARP to match all the other ARP that I am using.
