WIERD IGNITION PROBLEM.....HELP PLEASE!!!!!!
OK heres the deal.
I recentlty noticed that my car was missing, especially when hot. At night in the dark i could see all my wires arking, including the coil wire. There was a blue glow pulsating between the coil and the metal braket that surrounds the coil also.
I've since swicthed the coil, and have changed plug wires 3 times, now i have accel 300+ wires with 500 degree wrap around them and they are routed clearly around the headers.
The problem is still occuring as i saw a light show under my hood last night and still have small misses. The wrap that i have around the wires (aluminum-silicone) looks like its glittering because the spark is getting to it.
Do i have a bad ground, bad module or coil, or does this have something to do with having the wrong heat range plugs or too much resistance somewhere?
I don't know alot about the heat range stuff, i just got the rapidfires that the wal-mart computer suggested for a vette with aluminum heads. The plugs are in good shape-not fouled or anything.
I'm not sure how long its been doing this but its gettin anoying.
Thanx for all the help in advance.

I checked again last night, and i didn't see any arking but the insulating wrap is still glittering with little sparks. Could the aluminum on the wrap be conducting the spark from the wire?
I'm going to wrap the wire in a non-conductive material then see if the wrap is still sparking.
I am also going to re-check all my grounds.
Where are all the grounds on the engine?
I've checked the braided one on the firewall, the thick black one on the air pump bracket, one on front of the driver's side head, and all the ones on the back of both heads- am i forgetting anything?
Keep the suggestions coming please!
thanx for the help.

Turned out to be the heat wrap drawing current out of the wire. took it off and no more probs. so don't use heat insulation that uses any kind of metal on plug wires i guess.
