Mysterious plug

I have a plug not connected to any thing. It is near my brake booster and i cannot find where it plugs into. It has 2 wires, a pink with black stripe and a black. There is about 10 extra inches of wire so it must connect in that area. Could someone please see if they could find this on their car and tell me where it is supposed to go.
Thanks
Jake

Hard to say off the top of my head (since there's no engine in my IROC right now), but check the master cylinder, prop valve for sensors, perhaps the washer pump, underhood light, etc...I'll let you know if I think of something.

Are there any accessories in that area of the engine compartment that don't work? Any sensors on that side of the engine block? Trouble codes?

I cannot find any thing that does not work or any place to plug it in. Sometimes i get a code 33 (MAF) but there is nothing unpluged by the relays.

I'm about 85% sure it's the windshield wiper fluid pump, it's either that or the charcol canister purge control. Most likely the wiper fluid.

I think I have the same exact unplugged harness and I don't have anything disconnected that shouldn't be. I'll have to dig through the wiring diagrams sometime to see what it's for, although I think it might've been something for manual-tranny cars.

I don't think it is the windshield washer pump; there is no spot to connect and it works perfect. What is the charcoal canister purge? Where is it? I am also thinking it is a plug for an option i do/not have (ex: manual tranny)
Thanks for all your help.

I've had my Iroc for 13 years and have had that plug unplugged for that long, and never had a problem. I seem to recall the dealer said it was for the cruise control????

I have that same plug. I do not however, have a clue what is is for. I don't think it has a mate on our cars so i wouldn't worry bout it.
