Best and cheapest way to improve my stock 92z

i have the 92 heritage z with the 5.7 tpi. the only mod on it is a flowmaster muffler. i plan to get k&n airfilters for it too. i need other suggestions for making it run faster. is there a ram air kit for it without getting a different hood?

Air induction is the best you can come up with? Throttle Body increase, ported and polished heads and runners, new maf sensor, random tech catalytic converter, 3 inch exhaust, smog legal headers, jet chip, lower gears, hotchkis suspension, weight reductions(kinda extreme) B&M megashifter, high stall converter, cam, stroker kit, high pressure fuel pump, higher pressure injectors, the list goes on... so many things, so little money

Random Technology used to sell a ramair kit for about a $100 and it helps (they don't have it on the web site anymore but call them and ask)also you can cut out the bottom of your air box or at least remove the baffles this is good for 3-4hp and is free. That and some headers will help the most for the cheapest. All the other stuff is a good idea to but not the maf the 92 is a speed desity system it has no maf. N2o is always cheap but if you have high mi. I would think twice.

SLP also has a ram air kit but in my opinion it is a bit on the high side price wise for the power toy get.

If you want to have ram air (inexpensive) goto the tech articles section and do the "Free" ram air. Not too expensive compared to some of those prices you'll see aftermarket, plus some...decent gains.

------------------
89 IROC-Z 350 TPI

-Flowmaster Catback
-Performance Resource Chip
-700R4 (Rebuilt) Too much done to actually list
-K&N Airfilters
-Ported Plenum
-2.77 Gears (not much to brag about but eh, its there)
-MSD 8.5 mm plug wires
-Gutted cat
-!AIR
-Gutted Air Boxes

pick up an air foil while you are at it. Get a good one like SLP or something.
