Runner clogged???

Had to replace the sensor on the EGR and decided to clean. On each runner is one small port which i assume is air idle bypass. One side alows air thru other is blocked towards intake manifold. Is there any way to clean and open this short of removing intake??
thanks
Bill

Nope, you need to remove the intake, take off the belly pan and remove the 4 9/16" allen plugs to get all that gunk out of there.

Actually, when my EGR was clogged, I had good luck pouring carb/FI cleaner (I used GM top engine cleaner) down the runner holes (with the plenum off). Clean all the passages in the plenum (spray cleaner through them until clean or soak it in a tank). Worked great.
