Car feels down on power occasionally
When I first start the car in the morning I'll give it a few minutes to warm up. When I start driving though, the car feels like it's way down on power, almost like it's resisting when I push the accelerator. Once the car gets up to around 150 degrees, this goes away. Still though, there are times that when I really get on it, it feels like it just isn't pulling like it should. The tach climbs like normal but the acceleration is slower than it should be. This is even more noticable when there is a greater strain on the motor like going up a hill or carrying more passengers. I know this will always slow a car down but the lack of power is exceptionally bad with my car when there is a strain on the motor. I havn't been able to figure it out. I've checked the TPS voltage and it's fine. I've also checked the fuel pressure and it only drops about 1-2 psi at around 4000-5000 rpm. I'm not sure what could be causing this so please help me out. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I would have never thought of it being the knock sensor. I have a new one in my garage that I bought months ago and just never put in. I'll do that this weekend when I already have the coolant drained to change out the radiator and water pump. I was also planning on checking the timing this weekend also. Anyone else have some suggestions? Again, thanks for the replies.
