Do I need to change valve springs with rockers...

I am debating putting better rockers in my car. I have an LB9. If I went with 1.6's do I need to change anything else, like pushrods and springs???

you should get self aligning rockers or else you need to machine the heads and put push rod guide plates in, new valve springs would be a good idea also

If thats all your doing is changing 1.5 to 1.6 rocker arms I wouldn't worry about it. If you were going to a bigger then yes. get a spring checker just to make sure they are still in good shape.

Scan,

I went with 1.6:1 rockers on my LB9 with the standard valve springs. The lift and ramp of the "LA" (LameAss) cam is so pitiful that a good ball point pen spring would probably control the valve adequately. Don't lose any sleep over it...
