Argh!! fns will not turn on...

i have replaced the fan switch and both relays for the fans and they still wont turnon. the car doesnt overheat until im in traffic, which is un-avoidable here in houston. anyone? and yes the fuse in the fuse box is ok.

relax such hostility.DO YOU NEED A HUG OR SOMETHING?first try running the fans to the battery verify that they do work in my old camaro you could hear the fan wining but the blades didn't turn so do that first.if they check out its a ground problem somewhere in the harness follow the two wires from the connection on the fan through the loom (p.i.t.a but only way)make sure nothing is melted or dry rotted.another way is you know your relay works because its new right from the relay to the fan follow the harness again a p.i.t.a move the harness around a little.a last resort which happened on my car the ground wire for the connector to the relay behind the passenger side headlight came loose it's a weahter pack type connector try pushing the wires up into the relay watch your fingers though.

ok i hooked up a fan directly to the battery and it turned on for a sec but then turned backed off. i am going to run through the harnesss and check things out.

ahhhhh the problem was that the guy who owned the car before me must have thought he would be *smart* and re-wire the fans. talked about all cut up! i have no idea why he would have done this because the minute i re-connected the wires to there *original* locations...hmm everything magically worked. sad thing is he did the same thing to my harness for the stereo, except i have allready fixed that.
