are you talking about thoes ***** that get rid of dents?
Theres no tool that I know of that will expand the tubes. You need to have it ported by hand.

Re: modified stock runners on ebay, any good?

someone on ebay has been using this tool on stock runners, then gasket matching to big mouth manifold, then polished them,he has sold several sets for $200-$225 ,I checked completed listings,he sold 2 sets last week,I can see how you could expand the tube, but I dont think you can expand it where tube enters the flange, can you?

Re: modified stock runners on ebay, any good?

I honestly would have to see it to believe it. I've never seen it done.
I cant see pushing a ball through a tube and expanding the aluminum.
LOL....that takes a lot of muscle to push that all the way through.

Re: modified stock runners on ebay, any good?

He doesn't state exactly "how" this is done, but I wouldn't expect him too especially when he is selling this product.

Sellers feedback is excellent so he looks reliable, and at $20 you're not gonna go broke. May very well be worth the purchase if your runners are all banged to h*ll.

Maybe try contacting one of the buyers of this product and asking him first hand what he thinks of the item.

Looking at his other items, I decided to purchase;

HOW TO MANUAL WIRING TPI TUNED PORT FUEL INJECTION UNIT (370010466592)

&

VATS DEFEATER MODULE!!! BYPASS PLANS KEYPASS II TPI LS1

(Wiring can be a nightmare, and at those prices, that help could be invalueable).

I have a few dents in my runners, for $20,if it just fixes the dents I will be happy,if it expands them and increases flow 9 percent,I will have a motorhead orgasmHe includes a dvd that shows you how to do it,I dont know how to post pics, one of you who knows how should post the pics in his ad on this thread as they very impressive

Re: modified stock runners on ebay, any good?

Dont buy them! They suck! I bought some. They blew out the side of my runner after they got jammed in there. They are wooden and the wooden ***** break and split inside the runner. Tried to contact the seller and he wouldnt respond. Already left positive feedback. Damn! Save your cash.

Re: modified stock runners on ebay, any good?

Since no one seems to want to post the link, here it is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=370010316055

I don't see any pix of the kit or its *****, but he describes the various kits he sells. He supposedly also offers a "how to" dvd.

The same guy??
This ad says "Chrome-moly-steel alloy with a diameter tolerance of 0.000001”. "

That's one very round ball!
I'm not sure that's a correct tolerance, I could see 0.0001 but not 2 more for that cost.
Would be a shame to take something that exact and hit it with something to drive it through. The concept does work BTW.
I don't like how the runners became ported by pushing a ball through either.
If the ball is slightly oversize from a std runner than it would kind of stretch the tube to remove dents better but it certainly would not open them up as shown.
Do ***** leave swirl marks?
