First time at track

Best of 3 runs was,
R/T .858
60' 2.265
330 6.504
1/8 9.967
mph 71.74
1000 12.907
1/4 15.424
mph 89.13

I know, it sucks. I got better everytime as far as reaction time, speed and time was about the same on all 3 runs. So what should I do to the engine next?

It does suck... you are missing about 6MPH and close to a second off of your ET and trap speed.

Sounds like you have some major tuning to do.

Yeah man, 15.6 is stock, and all that stuff HAS to be worth more than 2 tenths I raced mine for the first time friday and got 15.4 w/ a cold air kit, so you're prolly being robbed of some power. best of luck finding the problem

Just to put things into perspective, my T/A ran 14.97@93.27 (on a 2.33 60 foot) with the mods in my sig, minus the ported TPI, shiftkit, and converter. Basically just a catback and a high flow cat. You should be a good 3mph faster than that.

You should probably think about getting into PROM burning, an optimized PROM would probably help you out a lot. Also since you have an AFPR, you could try experimenting with different fuel pressure settings at the track next time you go, maybe you are running lean up top, that would give you the low trap speed that you are running.

Seeing as how you have speed density, a custom eprom would definitly help. BUT...you have another problem somewhere else, you just need to find it... When was the last time you checked the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, etc? might be something to look into even if it was just two - three months ago...
Any kind of traction problems?

-MSD 8.5 mm plug wires
-Gutted cat

-Gutted Air Boxes

I didn't have any trction problems that I could tell. The cap and rotor were replaced a few months ago, Auto Zone stuff. The plugs are a good 4-5 years old and wires also. Wires are Accell 8.8mm wires. I was thinking about an Ed Wright chip, but I was going to install 1.6 RR first, then get the chip from Ed. Talking to other people they suggested gears or a miniram intake. Don't have the money for the intake, so maybe some gears first. I did dyno the car a couple weeks ago and got 208 rwhp. We adjusted the the fuel pressure up 2 pounds and lost 1 hp. Any suggestions what to do next is greatly appriciated.
