wobbly A.C. with headers...

the passenger exaust manifold had a support beam that bolted to the a.c. bracket to keep it from rattling and shaking during use. when i put the headers on i didnt put the beam back on cause it wasnt the right size but now i have a rattling a.c., what did you other guys with headers do?

Modify the bracket/brace to fit if you can, which headers did you install?

I reused the the stud/bolt on my 1 3/4" SLP headers and used a chop saw to cut off just a little bit of the tip on the bar that supports the a/c compressor.
It works great!

Those wires seem in dire straits! Get some wire looms! You definately need a brace or it will affect more than just the a/c.

I'm thinking that bracing the ac compressor to the body isn't a good idea. Engine torque is going to screw something up eventually. Or is there something i'm missing?

That looks to me like a big no-no to me too.
You are bound to tear the compressor up from the engine torque forcing against it. Just try to bend the orignal bracket and bolt it to the first bolt on the #2 cylinder exhaust. I used the spacer that came with my TES to re-use the bracket on mine. You will neet to bend the bracket a little to keep the surface flat with the bolt head.

Is that a solid motor mount?

If that motor isn't solid motor mounted you'll have problems down the road
