I had the same problem with the TPI setup in my old S10. I ended up using a rubber plug and some silicone. I found the stuff at the local hardware store.

Is this for the 89 RS listed in your sig? It shouldnt have a cold start injector unless you retro-fitted it.

The cold start injector is only on during the cranking mode, so its really no harm at all to the performance of the car, so you might as well just leave it alone.

SLP runners have a design flaw...mine had the same problem..the runners are too thick by the CS hole and will not allow the CS valve to pop in place all the way.
I had to grind away the side wall to allow it to fit right.
I went nuts trying to find out why I had a vac leak there and it wasnt until pulled the runners off and took off the CS valve for trial fit into the runner where I could see it clearly on my workbench that I found it was sitting too high and sideways insted of seated inside the hole.
Good Luck.

Call Jegs and order a cold start block off kit. It cost about $50 ,but it is worth it compared to the time you will spend trying to rig it with a pipe plug ,and silicon. It takes about half an hour to install the plug for the injector ,and the fuel rail.

Does the driver side runner have to be removed to pull the whole cold start valve and line to plug it with the block off kit?

The plug for the fuel rail can be installed without removeing the fuel rail. $20 thats a good price for both plugs. When I ordered my block off kit I had to order the two plugs separately. The plug for the fuel rail was $30 something ,and the plug for the injector was alot cheeper.

The driver side runner dose not have to come off to install the injector plug.

Does the 305/350 block off work on the 2.8 V6?
