O yes!!
That pretty much what I have on my car and I love it a lot!
Besides me having a 3.73....were pretty close.

Do you have the cam installed yet?
Its an awsome cam! I really like it a lot!

Next I want to try to install 1.6 rockers.

Do you plan on getting it tuned?

Where did you find your S10 converter? I was going to start looking for one for my car. Better then spending 300-400.
Have you tried it yet? Big difference?

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

you will see a VERY nice gain over stock. Not just in peak hp, because it probly will only be around 20whp at the most, which is a great gain dont get me wrong, but that runner design will shift the power band up over 5000rpms where TPI can not perform. the increase in usuable rpm range will make that car a blast to drive and you'll see big ET gains.

I saw 4 tenths and near 4mph gain with a HSR swap with underdrive pullies on a stock L98. i picked up around 20-25whp or so, but moved my peak rpm to 5100 and shifted at 5200. Car was fun and went 12.90's at sealevel in the cold air

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

Its kinda funny, when I bought my car 2yrs back, It had the TPI - Edelbrock Hi-Flo Intake/Hi-Flo Runners already installed on it. so to me Its kinda hard to make a comparison as far as power gains to expect vs the Stock TPI setup but for some reason my car seems to pull much harder than what I thought a TPI setup normally does.

Oh yeah definitley, like what Orr89Roc-Z said, you would see a nice gain over the stock setup, my LB9 pulled pretty good and all it had at that time was a cat-back exhaust and the Hi-Flo Intake/and Runners.

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

well the only mod i had was the flowmasters catback before we put all the stuff in my sig.... im excited because i thought it was fast with only the catback and that was the only mod ive done to the car..... but with the cam, rebuild heads, headers, built tpi and everything else in my sig i dont know what to expect....

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

seat of the pants feel should improve slightly but you will notice the gains more so at the track. its kinda hard to feel .2 tenths in the 1/4 mile on the street, you need the time indicators to show you the difference. I mean i knew my car was abit faster with stealth ram based on the street feel, but when i took it to the track and ran really good times, i was really impressed!

but yes, i would feel confident in revving that thing to 5200-5500rpms. Your cam should easily pull to 5200 where i expect it to peak its hp.

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

also, look into a tune. nothing major but small changes to the fueling and spark mainly. fuel pressure will help for now if you cant tune on your own, but i suggest you try it. Its easy to pick up once you start. Doing minor things on my car helped me pick up another 15lb ft torque at the wheels and a few more ponies across the power band, and this was on a stock cammed L98 with HSR

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

yeah im pretty sure with everything ive done i would need a tune.... should i get a custom tune from tpis..... you list everything done to your car and they make a chip for you...... is that a good idea.....

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

not really. I think they can pull it off, but alot of ppl have had bad experiences with them and they overcharge

I'd try pcmforless or fast chip.

Re: Built tpi system..... would i see a major improvement...

I have buddy who work as a speed shop and they tuned mine on a dyno.
Mine pulls through 5800 (stock tach) so take that what it worth.
I like my little 305. The motor breaths a lot better. And I seen a pretty big difference when i swapped out from all my stock items.
