I had purchased a 87 GTA with a 350 TPI and digital dash,it had a engine fire. My problem is that on the ecm wiring there is a connector that has 6 holes but only three are used, i think the wire colors are tan, pink, and purple. these go into the main harness to the engine. there is also one i think for the ses light ect. What does it do and where does it go, I bought a wiring harness from a 87 Iroc 350 TPI but it does not have it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

OK, If we are thinking about the same connector, it is under the dash on the right side, there are the two standard flat connectors as well that plug into the dash wiring harness. The Engine wiring harness plugs into these connectors and then the engine wires plug into the ECM.

OK

I traced those wires back one time and I think all three go to the fues panel for the Fuel pump and something else.


NOTE: I did trace a non-digital dash, they should be the same if they used the same engine wiring harness, I suspect they did.

I double checked the wire colors and they are 2 pink with a black stripe wires and 1 brown wires.

ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHat is the brown wire for? where does the Iroc injectors get + power?
