Pretty self explanatory. I need to make my own cause of the headers. Just wondering what the majority recomends.

The 20 dollar 8mm Accell's. No reason the waste any more money on wires for the extra 0.5 HP you might get with 90 dollar wires like the MSDs.

 

Taylor, Accel and MSD, all good.

I have had MSD 8.5 Superconductors on my car for just over 2 years and they have been great. They do claim a very low resistance and when I got them I actually measured the resistance they were indeed very low.

But more importantly, they are a "stout" wire with nice thick heavy boots. I have never had a problem with them "cooking" with my headers and there is no "fireworks" when I look under the hood at night. Great wire.

The price must have gone up as they were cheaper 2 years ago.

 

CraneCams Firewire.. look for them on carparts.com really good. 8.5mm and cheap too, Taylor is also really good, both have about 400 OHMS per foot.

Accel sucks, the boots come apart in high-heat applications (like running them by the headers) the top Plug wires are
1: MSD 8.5's
2: Moroso Blue Max's
3: AC Delco's if you dont have the cash for 1 or 2

anything else is a waste.

There is a comparison somewhere i saw...

nobody met their claims but MSD which had a VERY low resistance.

 

www.performancedistributors.com Livewires have low resistance,and are probably the most heat resistant.There ignition stuff is awesome.

Definately the MSD's, I have a set on mine, the only wires I have seen where one of the boots was touching the header and the boot melted just enough to not touch anymore, the rubber on the outside hardned and the inside stayed flexible, havent seen it leak out either.

So if anyone knows where a buick GN 8.5" rear is let me know.

 

I have the MSD's on my TA, nice wires but not enough color choices (read:none).

I have always had good luck with Taylor wires. I'll probably just stick to those from now on. Whatever you do, avoid Accel wires... I have had more than a few of those bad right out of the box.

 

Accells suck. I had MSD's in my car for 6 mos. before the boots turned chalky like a rubber eraser. I now have Summit's brand spiral core wires on there for well over 2 years now with no probs. Thats SLP 1.75 cooken them daily. I will buy these again for $31.00 you cant go wrong. Only thing is they are universal sets so you have to cut them and crimp the ends on, but they give you decent hand crimpers to do this (Not like accell and those little metal squares for vise use that don't work anyway)

They come in 90/180 boots and color choices? Blue, blue or blue is available.
