Good or bad TPI?
I dont know if there is such thing as a crappy TPI unit, but I picked up an entire setup for 250 bucks... And I noticed it was equipped with a MAF sensor... Which means it came out of an 86-89. Is that bad?

Depends on what ya wanna do. The maf cars are more forgiving of mods.... before prom tuning becomes necessary, but, any car will benefit from some good tuning.

Re: Good or bad TPI?
I'm no expert on this but I can say that I'm putting TPI on my 87 Monte SS and I chose to go with the maf setup because I didn't want to worry about getting a chip (re)programmed. As said above, the maf system can adjust to slight mods by itself without having to reprogram the chip. One downfall to a maf system is it(maf sensor) is a restriction in airflow entering the intake which will choke more radical motors. But if you are putting this on a stock/slightly modded 305 or 350 you will be fine. HTH
