Engine rebuild
Hows it going. Im just trying to gather some info on this subject. I have a 5.7 350 TPI. Anyways, I dont know anything really when it comes to rebuilding an engine. I mean I know what an engine consists of and that good stuff, Im not a moron whenit comes to cars. I wanna know what it exactly consists of and what are the advantages/dis-advantages to doing this? Afterwards what are significant changes good or bad. Im not sure yet if Im keeping this car yet as Im looking into getting a GTA, probally with the same engine. This one is a Formula. (By the way what are the differences as far as Formula to GTA are concerened?, I know the body style for starters. Like what are the differences if both are 5.7's 350 V8 TPI's?) Im also just looking for information in general regarding this engine. Like horse power, etc. Is this the better engine that came with our 3rd gens? Things like that. I dont really think the engine is in need of a rebuilding desperately. It runs very strong. No knocks, leaks, or sqeaks, etc.. Its still very powerful. I mean only downside to it if there was one is that its got 145k on it. Other than that its pretty dam clean and runs great. Anyways, I appreciate all help and information.
