FPR cap installation.... in what order do the pieces go?

there are 3. The cap, a black ring with holes in it for the screws, and then the inner FPR assemble with the orange gasket and spring/diaphragm. I just tried installing mine, I put the ring under the cap, then the spring/diaphragm inside, and screwed it down. Fuel leaked EVERYWHERE. This definately isn't how it's supposed to go. Does the ring go in last, after the spring/diaphragm? Or does it go on top of the cap, on the outside? thank you

The gasket/diaphragm assembles against the base, then the stamped spring can/cap, then the round reinforcement ring. The ring distributed the screw pressure across the entire spring can to minimize distortion and leakage.

On some aftermarket AFPR like the one I have, the AFPR is too big to reinstall the load spreading reinforcement piece.
