Cold start injector
Cold start injector
I have an 87 IROC that came with a 305i am putting an 89 iroc 305 in complete with intake. Will i have any trouble using the 87 prom without the the cold start injector? also which intake is better?
You may have some difficulty with cold starting (below 70°F coolant temperature). The '89 PROM is designed to enrich fuel pulses of the eight service injectors to compensate when cold, and doesn't need the cold start injector. If you can use the '89 PROM, you might be better off. The only problem may be the VATS system on the '89. You could also have a custom PROM burned to provide cold starting help without the VATS.
