Re: Rocker arm questions
Why wouldnt they? If you have the afr's then you have guideplates. Only concern would be Piston to valve clearance with the xfi's agressive lift. BTW you can purchase any 1.5 or 1.6 rocker non sa with your setup.
I'm still confused. Is ther ea reason you dont think they will work?

Re: Rocker arm questions
The main reason is there were a lot of part numbers on the summit site and I got a little confused. I know guys run these with XFI cams, I have never done a build and I wanted to make sure these would be ok.
The motor is the ZZZ motor, grandad to the ZZ1-ZZ4. The first of the GMPP crate motors of the late 80's. I found one new a year or so ago and bought it, the guy claimed it was a ZZ4, but the cam, heads, intake, and block number all point to ZZZ.

Thanks

Re: Rocker arm questions
I didn't see a ratio listed....I must have missed it. Anyway, I believe in one of your earlier posts (norcalz28) you said you were going to run the XFI268 cam.I am running the XFI268 with 1.6:1 rocker arms on a stock ('cept the cam) L98 short block, with no problems. My cam is installed on a 107* intake centerline. -Bill

Re: Rocker arm questions
Another question is the springs I am running on my AFR heads are upgraded to handle up to .600 lift. They are 1.530 OD springs, and the summit specs say that the comp pro mags will accept up to 1.500 springs. Is this going to be a problem? Has anyone run a spring this size with comp pro mags sucessfully? Should I consider something like these Lunati rockers?

Re: Rocker arm questions
Should be fine as those are a double spring the comp pro mags would be the one's I'd use as they have the most clearance of almost any rocker on the market anyways. If anything you will either have to clearance the rockers a little bit or buy new springs.

Re: Rocker arm questions
The lunatis are clearanced to 1.550, which is why I wanted to go with them. I'd have no problem modifying them, but I don't want to buy new springs.
Thanks
