what is this supposed to be connected to? ????
Well,
I just got a 1992 Formula 350 tonight...
Took it home and was looking at the plenum when I noticed something between it and the manifold.
Much to my surprise I discovered a vaccum hose (i think) with a screw screwed into it. It is coming from underneath the plenum, and out to the drivers side front of the engine. What is this to? Could it be a hose from the EGR valve? I checked the computer diag circuit for codes and got a code 32.
So what is that hose supposed to go to, and anyone care to give any first suggestions on that 32?
Thanks,
kiztope

Well Congrats On The New Car. Good Choice. Well As For The Code 32 It Is A EGR System Fault. The Vacuum Hose With The screw in it More Than Likely Goes To The EGR. They must have put a screw in the hose and disconnected it for a reason. More often people "rig" their cars just to run or to avoid reapirs. Don't be suprised if you connect the hose and the car won't start or idle correctly. Try connecting it and see what happens. It may be that the solenoid is bad and allowing vacuum to the egr at idle. Don't Forget To Clear the Trouble Codes by disconnecting the negative battery cable for at least 5 min. Good Luck
