Cam Swap
I have a 88 305 TPI and I'm building a carbed 350 but I'm leaving for school in a few months and not going to have the funds to finish it completly so I want to put a new cam in the 305.
What is the biggest cam I can go with that my stock heads and springs can take. I want something with a somewhat radical idle and that will work with with stock tpi setup. I'm looking into Comp Xtreme Energy Cams.
Also do I need to reprogram the computer? Any comments or suggestions would be very helpful.

Re: Cam Swap
dont quote me but from what i have been told the gross lift has to be somewhere around .500 or less. I think i was told .488 or.494 dont remember sorry. shoulndt have to repro the comp but will notice considerable difference in performance and will retain some kind of mpg if you do.
