How many miles does it have on it? Is it still in good shape and have you driven it yet? I grabbed one for $500 a few monthes ago. The kid that sold it to me thought the trans was blown, but it just needed to be serviced. The body was perfect and the engine only had about 84,000 on it so it wasn't a bad deal.

that is a very good price if everything is in good order. Most are selling for around 6000-7000 G's down here. I paid $3000 for my '88 SC camaro.

Not to get too picky but there were not IROC-Z Z28s in 89. Just IROCs. The only years with the IROC and the Z28 namesake was 85-87. The Z28 name came back in 91.

That's funny...why does my '90 say "Z28 IROC-Z" on the plate on the passenger side dash? I've run the VIN, and checked Carfax as well. It was bone stock with 33K or so on it when I got it. Please explain where you heard that info about 85-87.

85-87 you could only get a Z-28 with the IROC option package, and 88-90 blaa blaa blaa... but i heard on here somewhere that they didnt change the dash emblem or something, so dont worry.

The price is very reasonable. I would look into it further and see how the car presents itself.

FormulaKid:

You got a deal of a lifetime. I am tired of you comparing it to every one elses finds. You make everyone think that because they're not paying $500 like you did, that they aren't getting a good deal.

Heres your props:

FormulaKid got a smokin deal on his car.

Are you happy??

Good. Drop it.

You could actually get a Z-28 without it being and IROC. If you will look on the outside emblems it will say IROC-Z and not Z-28 as the 85-87s. "technically" Z-28s did not exist from 88-90. But they didn't change the dash emblem like you said.
