I have heard the vette L98 aluminum heads are really good on the 305 because they have the same CC combustion chanber as the 305 heads(58cc) and respond very well to a small porting job. I happen to have a set I would sell for $400 plus shipping. Other people get the torquer 305 heads you suggested, but i think those can get pricy compared to vette heads that will probably be better.

Nothing wrong with them that i know of. I pulled them off a motor that i have in my garage, i was going to use them, but decided to go with canfields after long thoughts. You might wanna have them rebuilt though, and while their at it, have a extra hundred in porting done. Then you'll flow more than the iron world products heads, and have aluminum for about the same price. Email me if your intersted.

i went with the world heads and had them ported. thru some roller rockers on them and they work great. never had the car at the track but i took a 98 cobra pretty easily and he ran a 14.0 flat at 100. i was crapping my pants as i pulled on him!!!

ya, but remember this guy has a 305, but i bet he could still do a low low 14 with either of the heads and his gear change. Its just a matter of iron or aluminum...

yea i think i can do low 14's like 14.1 or 14.2 with the gears and the setup i have now, but i would need slicks and it would have to hook up at the track. thats a big problem for me even with 2.73's. but if i go ahead and get the other motor...... F*&% 14.s i will be hittin 12's and shootin for 11's...... so..
