First time at track 91 305 Z28 times inside

I went to Sacramento Raceway last night and I got six runs in which I guess is alot. My best three times were:
Reaction: .652
60':
330': 6.334
1/8th: 9.587
mph: 74.583
1000': 12.368
ET: 14.745
MPH: 94.521
60' timer was knocked out by 1/4 mile bowling

Reaction: .703
60': 2.203
330' 6.205
1/8th: 9.492
mph: 77.146
1000': 12.291
ET: 14.714
MPH: 90.544
I don't know why my mph was so low I guess I could have hit the brakes early or something.

Then I had my best run:
Reaction: .650
60':
330': 6.206
1/8: 9.491
mph: 77.239
1000': 12.287
ET: 14.687
MPH: 96.449
60' timer was out still.
All these runs where made with me shifting the auto and launching around 1000 to 1200 rpm.

My other runs were 14.881@93.154 with a 2.282 60', 14.832@94.568 with a 2.342 60', and 14.865@94.099. I just wanted to know what you guys think about my runs what I could do to improve them. I know my 60' times need help what could I do? What mods would help me out the most?(on a budget I'm a college student) I am totally hooked now and can't wait to go again with some new mods. Thanks in advance.

You really have a good set up!
Exhaust - Pretty much perfect!
TPI- fully port manifold get some ported SLP runners (this really lets the engine breath)
Transmission- id beef up the tranny, make it shift a few hundred RMP higher to match all the ported stuff and free flowing exhaust put in a good shift kit
Fuel this is what id do first get a AFR
How does your car hook up off the line??? Id get some LCA relocation bars a panhard bar, and a torque arm

What do you think about each of these items??

Not bad at all for a 305 auto. I've got a friend with a bascially stock one running 15.0s at like 90 or 89. But with your 96 mph... you could probably hit 14.30s or 14.40s on street tires. I ran a 14.22 at 97.55 so, I'm sure yours is pretty close.

as far as your 60's just read those... that's where the extra few tenths were. Umm, you should be hooking fine. I had no problems and I have no suspension mods. Not sure, I know an Adj. Torque arm could help.

Personally, I think SLP runners are the best... stock they are better than stock but not the best.... BUT they have TONS OF MEAT to port out...... Once you port these bad boyz then the power starts flowing. They are only $250 from www.slponline.com i think. Id leave your stock fuel injectors on but thats not my car maybe just take them out and thouroughly clean them. Just get an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator AFPR they are like $60 and really can give you some horse....

a few recommendations i would give you work on traction adj tq arm, disconnnect the sway bar links up front(make sure you reconnect before driving on street again),take out the jack, spare tire, all that junk in the wheel well, cheap way to gain a few tenths on your 60' is an adj proportoning valve they are fairly cheap and will let you hold the rear brakes a few hundred rpm more on the line.it will let you stall the car a little higher.
good luck with your future mods

That's not too bad.
Now I am a little worried.
I had an LG4 with an Edelbrock carb that was running 14.94@92mph with stock exhaust and manifolds.
I now have a TPI on it with headers, 3" exhaust, cam, 52mm throttle body.
Similiar setup to yours but you have ported plenum, chip, amd SLP headers, and Airfoil.

I hope that my car is at least a low 14 sec car.

A good cam($200) and a stall converter($300.00 up) will help out big time. Also Nitrous is always good. Also the free mods like tb bypass, gutting your airboxes, set your timing higher(I got good gains here) and a fuel pressure regulator.

Chris(Been there and found how to make a 305 run

I have about the same setup you have minus the chip and I ran a best of 15.1 @ 90 mph. Do you think a chip added 5 to 6 tenths to put you at 14.6? I'm sure it did. I guess I have something to look forward too.
