Cant find the fuel fuse to unplug for afpr...

The instructions say that I have to unplug the fuel fuse in order to keep fuel from not spilling out, I would love to install my AFPR but I can't find the fuel fuse in the engine compartment. It's like step 2 in the instructions and if you could help that would be greatly appreciated! THX! Speed Density 90 Iroc 305 is what I have (Manual).

This is the step that is giving me problems...

Releave the pressure in the fuel lines. Take gas cap off, depress schrader valve, remove fuel pump fuse and turn key forward to completely releave fuel pressure.

Heh, I want to put it in SO bad. Thx for the help guys.

If you can't figure it out, just don't do it. Put a towel under the fuel line to soak up whatever leaks out, gasoline is very volatile, it will just evaporate.

I think there is two fuel pump fuses in the fuse panel underneith the dash on the driver's side. The will have "FP" on them. just remove them to be sure and then turn the car on and let it run out of gas. I think that is right. if not, it is worth a try

The fuel pump fuse has also been reported to be up near the battery... (on firebirds anyway....)

The fuel pump fuse that is near the battery (also is in camaros) also is the main power feed to the ECM. Which means that if you unplug it, sure the fuel pump won't turn on, but neither will the ECM and thus you won't be able to start it. (this is the handy stealth kill switch as if you don't know these cars you would never think to open the connector to see that it takes a fuse)
What you can unplug is the fuel pump connector that is over the rear axle by the gas tank. Then start the car and after a minute it will stall out. Then you'll be down to practically no FP.
Or, If you let the car sit for a day then your FP should be basically down to nothing as well. This works if you're too lazy to jack the car up.

Unplugging the relay wont help b/c the fuel pump is powered by the relay and the O/P sender in parallel. The FP won't prime when you turn the key w/ the relay unhooked, but once you get OP it will come on. It's a built in fail-safe mechanism.
