differences between 85 and 89 tpi

I have a 89 vettel98 that I am going to put in my 85 iroc that has the 305 tpi so what I am wondering is is it a even swap

it may be impressive to get a rice rocket to go 12's but why???

NOPE, From what I understand, the 85 & 89, although similar are different. You will be better off using the harness & ECM from the 89.

Your '85 ECM is alot slower than the '86 up ECM's, and you'd want a new one...the 1989 TPI is still MAF, but does not have a cold start injector like the 1985-1988 unit do...so you'd need a 1989 L98 prom and a newer computer, then you'd need to block off the cold start injector. I'm sure there's other differences as well, you existing prom and computer would in no way work. I'd get a 1989 L98 350 prom, computer and harness, that way you KNOW everything is made to work together...anybody if there's anything I missed let me know.
