SuperRam + AFR 190cc heads + LT4 HOT Cam = Good Combo????
I was wondering if this setup would be a good combo to go 12s. I am getting some suspension parts to put it to the ground too. Thanks.

Depends on what size engine youre putting it on. If a 350 that you arent concerned of pumping every ounce of power out...then yes good setup..if a stout 350 or bigger...go with AFR 195cc heads....Im working on a engine for my car...here is the setup I have decided on:
Super Ram intake setup
383 with forged internals
AFR 195cc heads
LT4 hot cam
That setup will definetly get me into the 12s...maybe even the 11s. But with your setup....will probably get you well into the 12s.

SLP Headers Coming

More to come.

What are the spec's @ .50 on the hot lt4 cam and what lca? Also, would this cam work well with a supercharger pushing 8lbs of boost? I am putting a new engine together with a set of AFR heads and need a good blower cam? HELP!

I would spend the extra money and get 195cc heads. And stick with a superram...unless you have a bit more money to spend and dont have to worry about inspection. But I still perfer the super ram because you wont loose as much torque as the miniram...and Im guessing with that stall converter and gears you wont be pushing past 6500 rpm

No. The LT4 Hot cam is too agressive for a blower cam. You want a milder cam with around a 114/116 LSA. I asked the exact same question a few months ago. That would mean boost in, boost out. You want boost in, power out...
I'm using a set of SLP siamesed runners, Edelbrock TPI base and TFS 23* heads (mild ported heads, typical TPI intake porting). I'll be changing to a Superram in the future. I'm using a ZZ9 cam which is somewhat similar to the LT4 Hot cam. I'm pushing my luck, but the same problem with LSA and boost applies with nitrous...I'm still going to shoot it a 100-150 shot of N20. For the price of the cam, the tradeoff for a small power loss is worth it! In the future I'll replace the 350 with a 383 or 396 stroker with the Superram and an LPE 219 cam and AFR heads.

Yeah, I agree thats a pretty good combo, but use 195 heads if its on a engine bigger than a 350. That setup should be good to about 6250 or so. I have a 377 still in the drawing board that I plan to build thats gonna be good to 7250-7500!

So, What would you think if i used a custom ground cam @ the same spec's of the ZZ9 With a LCA of 114 or 116? I have the slp runners with the plentum matched to the runners, AFR 190 heads CNC ported, 1.6 crane roller rockers, 24lb injectors, super fmu, Crane hi-6s igntions, headers and flowmaster cat back
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">If its going to be a drag racer type deal go with the miniram however the superram is far more streetable!

As for the person who asked of blower cams, Comp Cams makes some nice custom grinds.. They also have an off the shelf cc-305 cam, which a lot of guys use for blown setups.. It is 220-230 114 ls, .510 lift with 1.5 rockers.. I think .530 with 1.6 rockers...It is for an LT1, but you can use it no problems in a L-98.. Just check the dowel legnth. It is also emmisions friendly...You should pass dyno testing with a good tune.
camarox84, I would call AFR and see what they have to say, they have great tech support. I think their number is on the web site? www.airflowsearch.com
