I'd only use to set the pressure. Don't want to run the risk of anything extra springing a leak.

Re: FPR & Gauge - Leave Gauge installed?
i know of many who keep it installed... myself included. its a very convenient diagnostic tool and good to keep an eye on your tuning. if you buy a decent one, you shouldn't have to worry about leaking. my last iroc had the gauge on it for 5 years and never saw a leak or malfunction.
Re: FPR & Gauge - Leave Gauge installed?
Thanks, I'm not sure about the safety factor of leaving in on. I bought an ACCEL Fuel Pressure Gauge # 74726. Hope this is good enough. It would be nice to have it on to tune and monitor, but the mention of fuel spraying everywhere is kinda scary!
Has anyone else left the gauge on? Or is this not a common practice? Is there one made to be left on? As much as I want to leave it on, I'll just play it safe if very few of you have left it on.
Thanks,
Chris.

If the gauge is plumbed into the dash, a leak could get mighty toasty. Most of the leave it on's, I have seen, where mounted just on the outside of the windshield.
Re: FPR & Gauge - Leave Gauge installed?
The Accel unit that I have has a very short hard line to it. It will be about two - three inches away from the fuel line. Looks like its just going to peak-out from the runners. Too hot for the guage there?

nope. thats where they go. that is the most safe and error proof place to put it. if it was too hot there, they wouldn't have installed the fuel rail in that location. the gauge you have is the one that I use in my cars.

Going to install the FPR and Gauge. Can I leave the gauge installed, or only use it to set the pressure? Thanks!
