Re: cam question

Cam: Crane Powermax 2032 452/465 214(270)/220(276) 112 deg., 1800 to 5800 RPM (2000 to 5500 RPM), P/N 104224. You may want to use a cam with a bit less duration (like 2 deg. less) and a bit more lift (like .040 more), same LSA if you can find one. (Custom built cam...?)

Springs: Crane 99846-16 125#/383# @ 1.80”/1.20” 1.255/.870 dia. kit, P/N CRN-11309-1 has 99846 springs, retainers, and locks (use the offset locks from the world heads or buy new ones)

Valve Seals: Edelbrock EDL-9725

Shim the springs up .015 (or less) to get to 1.82" install height (which is as close as you will get to 1.80" with these heads)

World heads are built like crap! They shim the springs up so high that they are totally up out of the spring pockets and thus will dance around. This WILL in turn cause them to break the spring dampeners and chew up the crap umbrella seals that they use.

Take my advice: DO NOT install these heads without first changing the valve springs and seals....

Check my Sig for details of what all I have installed on my LB9. Good luck!
