Accel or SVO
Accel or SVO
I have a 85 305tpiTA my question is. I need new 19lb injectors the svo in summit are $209.95 and the accel are $229.95. Which one's are better. I know about the different psi rating for the svo but most of you guys raise your fuel pressure any way. So if I used the svo and left my fuel pressure stock would they work? Or would it be better just to get the accel's my motor is stock except for some free mods and the slight price difference doesn't concern me.
As much as I'd hate to be a Ford proponent, their injectors are probably better than the Accel's. I've heard of two cases where Accels were sent back for leaking. I'd assume Ford to have better QC being that they're installed on factory performance cars and rarely have problems with them. Keep in mind however that Ford rates their injectors at a different (lower) pressure, so a 19lb SVO injector will flow a little more being equated to a Multec or Bosch injector.

I've had 2 leaky Accel injectors brand new, for what it's worth. I'd go with F$&# injectors.
