what is the difference?? and would it be to big for a 305 TPI?

Yep, it's the same cam, and it should be a pretty good cam for a 305, especially if you're burning your own chips to tune your engine.

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
The lift is too big for the stock heads. You'll need new springs and retainers as well. Be sure to check piston to valve clearance and valve to valve-guide clearance.
