Is this cam OK with my mods.
I am considering one of 2 comp cams designs.
the mild one is their 08-501-8 XR 264 HR grind and is says for stock tpi's
I think this is the limit my pressed in studs could take at .488I .495E lift.
But I am planning full length headers and I already have headwork and intake work but the stock transmission and 3.23s are still there. I would like to get their 08-502-8 XR 269 HR grind to accent the mods Ive done plus the fact that I will get 3.42s and plan to get the tranny rebuilt with a stall converter to match.
I guess my questions are -- should I go with the bigger grind for all the modifications I plan or will it pull out my studs with it's .495I .503E of lift?

88 WS6 T/A 305 TPI--
K&N,Air foil,hypertech chip, thermostat+fanswitch
free mods, dynomax catback, urethane motor+trans mounts, PST front end poly stuff, Earl's hyperflex brake lines SSM SFCs, Bilsteins very trick homemade ramair, Accel 300+ ignition system. Ported plenum, intake and heads with 1.94I valves.
Planning: Heddman 1-5/8 longtubes, NOS 150 plate, replace the "peanut"! and Eibach Sportlines.

depends on how soon you'll uprade your tranny a tourqe converter as well as intake.i prefer to change a cam only once, either waiting till i get all the parts or dealing with an overcammed engine for a bit.your choice either way.check out the small-mid slp grinds or the accel grinds.
